COME CUT
An exhibition exploring the issues of the cuts that have been made in the arts. An interactive performance with the public where they are invited to cut up pieces by artists:
Paul Hodgson
Holly Chadd
Billy Kerry
Konrad Wyrebek
I was an intern for the event COME CUT and was involved in many areas of the project. Such as invitations, and contacting different media outlets to promote the exhibition, including arts magazines, local and national newspapers and websites. I was part of the set up team and front of house. I also promoted the exhibition in the local area of Soho, London, with posters and flyers. When the event took place I was part of the official filming, by interviewing each artist on their work along with their thoughts on the topic of the cuts. Along side this I interviewed the members of the public who participated, which created a great range in opinion, as many of the participants worked in different areas of the art world, whether as a student or as an art critic. Many of the interviewees were from different parts of the world such as the US and Taiwan, creating a diverse interest in opinion. I thoroughly enjoyed working with such enthusiastic and talented people and found it a great challenge as many of these areas such as filming, recording and interviewing I have never experienced.
